This was the meal plan I had for dinner tonight. Now, I have surmised my thoughts on the whole. Pictures included, I’ll try to make this brief.
Just some housekeeping. The restaurant was back across the river, under the ground, next to the river. It was quite a beautiful traditional style with a fireplace for every eating area and tatami floors.

Plum wine tastes like plum cordial. Tiny little cup drank it all.
Seasonal appteziers, six different little plates. Duck, not a fan. Some fine others, not my cup of tea.

Roasted river fish surprisingly good. Even though I had to skin and pick out the bones with chopsticks. meat itself was good, not too fishy.

Sea bream sashimi. Not an expert. Tasted like raw fish to me.

Sweet potato gratin, very nice, shrimp and mushroom in. Cheesy and creamy, with the sweet potato sweetness. Favourite of night.

Cream cheese tofu, cream cheesy. Odd combination.

Pumpkin. So hard to pick up with chopsticks and flip on BBQ. Other veges, fine. One unidentified vege. Possibly potato.

Wagyu, fatty, beefy, great dipping sauce. So hard to figure out if I cooked it for long enough.
Didn’t like sauce/soup for rice ball.

Soba and Rice. It was just plain rice. The soba was okay, but I don’t like the miso soup base. Pickled radishs were good (white things). The pickled eggplant was a bit weird (black things).

Start dinner at 6, desserts by 7.
Ice cream so hard it broke my wooden fork. Red bean and ice cream are a very good combo.

Green tea, hot leaf juice. Don’t like. Too bitter. Ice cream helped between sips.
Came back and bed was magically made.
