Lines, Lines, and Guess What? More Lines.

I visited Namba again, this time to Dotombori proper. I was determined to eat takoyaki made in Osaka, and nowhere is more famous than takoyaki in Dotombori. I visited here in 2018 when I was travelling with my sister, but we went there at about 7 in the morning. So nothing was open, and no one was there.

I think I prefer it that way. It was so busy and lines a mile long for food. I was there around 2 pm and hadn’t eaten since breakfast at 7 am. So, I was starved and tired and unwilling to wait.

Thankfully, there were shorter lines further down the road. I found a takoyaki stall and got 6. They weren’t bad, but they had octupus inside that made up 90% of the ball. It was chewy octopus, too. Tasted exactly like every other takoyaki I’ve had before, the most notable difference is the size of the octopus pieces.

I took photos of some of the more interesting signs and went and took a photo of the canal.

I was still hungry but unwilling to wait in line again, so I went to Matsuya and got Gyudon (beef bowl) with cheese. They really put a lot of cheese on, had to really chew it. Still quite nice.
